There’s so much love in the world that you don’t know about yet and you will get to experience it and that is beautiful.
-Samuel Crossley

Growing up and attending college less than a days drive from Yosemite Valley, it seems that it was always in the stars for Samuel to combine his love of the natural world, vertical adventure and telling stories through the lens into an exciting and promising career.

And that’s exactly what he’s done. Through hard work, and what he calls “a little bit of magic”, his resume already reads like that of someone far more turns ahead of the calendar than he is.

Well spoken, wise beyond his years and dedicated to doing whatever it takes to tell the story that needs to be told (including living out of a custom Sprinter van that he built himself to remain agile in his ability to travel for assignments) he’s often found the company of his heroes that quickly become friends.

His courage as an openly gay man and his commitment to the crafts of climbing and filmmaking brought him to meet the man he would ultimately fall in love with. His words to the younger LGBTQ youth are of pure support, encouragement and inspiration with strength and kindness of the highest order. I sincerely hope, amongst everything, you’ll take the time to check out some of the resources for the LGBTQ community below. I think it would mean a great deal to Samuel to know that there’s an ever-increasing amount of love and understanding out there for everyone.

It surely would to me as well, my friends.

Enjoy the episode, the extra content and get out there and be wild.
